I was thinking today, Bands like Nickel Back and Default are popular all over the world. They basically came out of nowhere. Do you think that the hips popularity in Canada hinders them from making it big anywhere else in the world?

Does anyone know if these were actual shirts licensed by the Hip. A friend of ours gave us them for Christmas (She knows someone who makes them). I love them. Just wondering if they were actual merchandise and if so when? I have seen them before.
The have an old b/w picture of Gord on the front with hair that says Tragically Hip and "Looked up to the Gord above..." phrase on the back. Thanks for your help!

Cheers!

Chad

Hey all - Didn't get a chance to catch Sam Roberts opening for the Hip, but I just picked up The Inhuman Condition and it rocks! I was wondering if any of the tapers out there happened to record a Sam Roberts set. If so, I would love to set up a trade or something. Fingers crossed, I can check them out when they tour this winter. Cheers,

Matt

Cought me a Hip show or 3 in NYC over the years...Irving Plaza and Central Park. Missed New Years 'cause I had to work....now I'm gonna hit a few Hip shows.

The past few years I've cought The Allman Brothers and Government Mule, as well as Phil and Friends...liked them a lot, especially Phil and Friends at Red Rocks in Colorado this past summer.

Any hints as to what the year 2003 brings?
Any chances that the Hip will play Red Rocks?

So what does everyone think The Hip will be up to this year? Will they release an album that will put them back at the top of the charts? Will they release a Greatest Hits package? Will they take the year off like in 2001? Will they tour? What's everyone think?
