Hey my Canadian pals, (or anyone else who would know)
My husband and I, along with a few friends, are seeing Neil Young at The Air Canada Centre on June 23. We want to make a day out of it and are wondering about some good places to eat around that venue, along with maybe a few things to see or do. Any input would be appreciated
Thanks a bunch,
-Jen

Have any of you seen X-Men 2 or do you plan on it? If you have seen it, is it necessary to see the first one beforehand?? I didn't have much interest in it before but now I think it looks kind of interesting.
Also, any other movie recommendations??

On the radio after they played gord's new singe "Pascals Submarine" (which by the way somebody should put on kazaa) The music director for the station (97.7 htz fm) was commenting on the weirdness of songs from the hip.. as in what the hell are they talking about. He once asked gord about a particluar song and gords reply was pretty much u have to figure it out on your own. The director says " 50 mission cap or is it . NIFTY FISHING CAP"??

birilko was on a fishing trip after all ... just an interesting sidebar

Hey! I was just wondering if anyone would be going to the White Ribbon Campaign concert that is happening on June 3rd? Gord is going to be there as well as jeff Martin, Holly McNarland, members of treble Charger...etc.
I went to the concert a few years back, and it was great.... it is raising money for men against violence against women! :thumb:

And seeing how Gord will be playing, there is even more of a reason to go!

Tickets go on sale tomorrow and they're 27.50$!

Warning,

Bat your eyes girl,
be otherworldly,
count your blessings,
seduce a stranger.
What's so wrong with being happy?
Kudos to those who see through sickness.

(chorus)
When she woke in the morning she knew her life had passed her by.
And she called out a warning,
"Don't ever let life pass you by."

I suggest we learn to love each other before it's made illegal.
When will we learn?
When will we change?
Just in time to see in all fall down.
Those left standing will make millions writing books on the way it should have been.

Chorus

Floating in this cosmic jacuzzi
we are like frogs oblivious to the water starting to boil.
No one flinches,
we all float face down.

Chorus

A nice message I think!

well i just ordered the pearl jam show from buffalo may 2
do any of you think the hip would ever think of doing this i mean recording the shows and releasing them to fans say through the hipclub ( man haven't been there in a while don't even know where i wrote my password) well pj give you a link to download unmastered mp3s then within two weeks after the show you get the cd.

their reason for doing this was they were sick of hearing crappy bootlegs
man wouldn't it be great to have the hip do this one can only dream
