Any other Led Zeppelin fans in here?
I went to a midnight screening of the new DVD last night. The DVD is in stores on tuesday and last night they showed 2 hours of the 5 1/2 that are on the new DVD at the IMAX here in Calgary. There is some incredible material on there. I'll be buying the new DVD on tuesday for sure.

GORDON DOWNIE
Battle of the Nudes
(MapleMusic/Universal)
****
I’ve spent so much time hating GD–his voice, his band, you name it–or at least disrespecting him, that I fear I may never adequately right the wrong, but here goes. Love it or hate it, there is no more distinctive voice (literally, his voice, and figuratively, the things he says with it) in Canadian rock ’n’ roll than that of Mr. Gordon Downie), and, at a point in his career where most rock stars feel more than content to take no chances and continually rehash the same old shit until their plane crashes or whatever, Gordie does not. Instead, he’s doing poetry books and hooking up with subterranean heroes like Dale Morningstar and Julie Doiron to make solo albums that are as quirky (and rocking) or more so than anything he’s done to this point. Fuck you, Don Cherry; if anyone deserves to have his likeness on a keg of beer in this country, it’s this guy. Sorry about all that mean shit I said, Gord. It probably won’t happen again.

Hey all,
Did any of you see Matrix Reloaded? We just saw it this evening. I have to say, I thought the first one was better. Both my husband and I were getting bored with this one . We felt that it dragged in many places. The special effects were awesome and the whole highway sequence was cool too, but for the most part I wasn't that impressed. Any thoughts??

Trying to keep this vague for those who haven't seen it, I don't want to spoil it....
Also, if you haven't seen it yet, there is a preview for the next one after all of the credits roll.
If you suddenly won the lottery or inherited several million dollars/pounds, what would you do? What would you buy first? What charities would you donate to??
This is a question I often ponder, even though I know it will never happen. I don't play the lottery and my family is not rich, but it is still fun to think about
First, I would pay off all of our debt.
Second, I would go on a very long vacation with my husband(we haven't been on vacation in a long time!!)
I would take care of the people I care about and then definitely donate to a few charities. (SPCA for one  ) Among others of course. Lance would receive a huge donation to keep this site up and running :thumb:
Anyway, what would you all do???
-Jen
