Hey, all...I was right up there at the front with Darren for last week's show, and I got some fairly good pictures. It was my first time with a digital camera, and I was really disappointed about the lighting...it just goes to show there's no substitute for good ol' 800 ISO film. But some of the pics are really good so I can't really complain. (I'm even close enough to satisfy those who crave a taste of Gord's sweat! 8) )
It was great to meet all the local Hipbasers. I included all the meeting-Gord photos on the page. There's around 20 pics, hope it doesn't take too long to load.

I can't wait for the "official" bootleg!! Cheers!
I am looking for the sept 27th show from 2002, I went to 5 shows from the IVL tour and have 4 of the shows now, and am only missing this show. I got Johnny's sticks that night and it would mean a lot to me to have all the shows from this road trip. If anyone has this show and is willing to trade, B&P or even sell me this show I would really appreciate it. Thanks
Jesse
I scanned a few of the pictures that I took at the show Friday night.

If anyone wants physical copies of pictures contact me and I'm sure we can work something out.

What was the temp in Halifax today ? 20 something i'll guess . Today in Calgary we enjoyed -1c weather for most of the day , with a high near 1c and continuous snow throughout the day , tonight there is a heavy snowfall warning . Gotta love summer . Now where did I put the sunscreen .
cratch:
Hi all. Does anyone know where I might be able to find the transribed lyrics to the two new tunes? Especially Josephine...I have a feeling I'll be listening to this one a lot!
I went to the show last night here in vancouver, and all i can say is wow. If you like them and have a chance to check them out, do yourself the favour. Jack can make wonderful sounds come out of a guitar, and meg can really keep the beat.
So another hockey season is fast approaching us, but for a second I'd like the hockey fans of the Hipbase to take a break from their fantasy pools and think about a question I have for ya. A good buddy of mine and I have been having this "debate" for a week now, and we can't seem to settle it. He is a big Bruins fan, and I am a big Leafs fan...and the debate basically is-Who is the better player, Cam Neely or Doug Gilmour? Who would you much rather have on your team? The quintessential power forward or one of the best two-way forwards ever to play the game? I know this may sound somewhat stupid, but we can't settle this debate...all input would be appreciated...I think their stats speak for themselves. I know there are a ton of hockey fans out there, let's have NO biased opinions...thanks folks... :thumb:
I am one who tries really hard not to take anything for granted. I try to think about the little things in life that I am fortunate to have. As I was on my daily run/walk this morning, it really struck me how life is so fragile. My husband's uncle is dying of cancer in the hospital, not even able to eat food or take a simple drink of water. He wants more than anything to be able to eat something/anything again. The cancer has spread to many parts of his body, he is weak, his body is failing him.
There are so many times I look at myself and get so frustrated that I can't lose the last 10 pounds. I won't always allow myself to have that dessert or whatever because it will hinder my shape. At least I can eat it though, and enjoy it. I am happy to be able to eat and drink...simple pleasures in life. I am happy that I can walk/exercise, etc. Wow, I am just happy to have life. People die everyday, but until I do, I want to take each day in for what it is.

Since we're doing some weird stuff here.....here's a little quiz for you hip fans. I know Lance will get this because I was asking him in Halifax so he's disqualified...hahaha!
1) Name 3 pairs of hip song names where in each song name it contains the same word. Example... If thehip had a song called Silver Sky, Silver Jet would be it's match...that would be one pair because the word silver is in both song names.
2) Lance's question...name all the countries thehip have played in....yes it's double digits...hint, it can easily be found on the hipbase by clicking only a couple things, hehe
3) Name a song with the word butterscotch in the lyrics.
4) Name 5 hip album songs never played live before.
5) What venue have thehip played the most?
That's all for now. Post your answers and any other hip trivia you can think of.
Here's some anagrams for gordon downie;
