I'm interested in going and I know there are still tons of tickets available, but I'm not really interested in paying face. If someone gets stuck with a ticket they can't get rid of and are willing to take a little less for it, let me know. I'd be game.

So I'm seeing the Hip live for the very first time in April and I'm very excited to finally see than, but there's one thing that's worrying me. I've read a few reviews of Hip shows from 2013 that complained about the sound being too loud. Like this one:

"The songs were great but the Tragically Hip cranked up the volume way too high for a venue such as the Orpheum. The sound was so loud that many people were holding their hands over the ears and the high volume distorted the lyrics and music. I stayed right to the end of the concert but I noticed a number of people who were holding their hands over their ears end up leaving the theatre and they did not come back."

Are the Hip normally this loud? I know that rock concerts in general tend to be quite loud but are they any louder than the average rock band?

Hey Gang! Long time!

I am counting down the minutes until the warm up show ticket lottery winners are notified and had a thought.

I have been mostly out the country the past 4 years and find myself stuck here for a while in this god awful winter. So I thought there’s no better way to end these winter blues than a road trip to Cleveland and/or Windsor to see The Hip.

Is anyone making the trip and looking for a travel companion to share expenses and possibly some driving time? I am hesitant to take my car without snow tires (which I haven`t needed the last 4 years), especially south of the lake!

I`m up for there and back to Cleveland, there and back to Windsor, better still doing the loop through Windsor. I am located in Fergus and can easily meet at a carpool stop along the 401,QEW etc.

At this point, I do not have tickets for either show, but that will not stop me. It will all work out right?

Message me or kenadian2001(at)yahoo.ca and let’s talk.

Cheers,
Ken(adian)
P.S. Preference will be given to anyone with an extra ticket :-)

now, I'm not a female and nor am I the most fashion conscious person around, but are these not a little ridiculous?

I'm finally getting around to getting all of my gig posters framed for the new basement, but won't be happy with the set until I can get my hands on one of the gig posters from the Fort York shows from 2006. It's the only one that I'm missing from the shows that I've been to and I've been looking for one for years with no success.

Anyone have one they're willing to sell or have any leads as to where I can get one???

Any help is MUCH appreciated!
