Here is the link from The Hip Twitter feed for The Hip Club Presale to the Windsor Caesar's Colosseum show on July 3, 2015.
bit.ly/july3windsor
It is for February 12th only between 10am - 8 pm EST. Password is "eldorado". Main floor is GA again.
Has the mix up had anyone else almost dying for this tour to end so we could potentially get some regular shows with such great variety? I especially love that Phantom Power and World Container (two of my favorites) have been so well represented on this tour.
I have said many times that the biggest downer of the album concept, for me, is knowing what is coming next. The non album variety really has me anxious for a regular tour with this sort of potential. It brings me back to the Summer Fling tour prior to World Container, which is still my favorite string of shows.
Anyone else feeling a similar way?
Hi Folks,
I'm a little confused as to what time the Edmonton show will be starting.
Ticketmaster says Doors at 7pm and Show at 8 pm.
The Hip's website says Doors at 7 pm and Show at 9pm.
Does the DJ start at 8 and The Hip as late as 9?
Also, roughly what time have the past few shows been finishing?
Need to tell the baby sitter!
Thanks,
David
We should revive this for 2015!
I have one extra ticket for sale for the Winnipeg show on Valentines Day. One of the guys we're going with had to cancel due to traveling.
The seats are 5th row, floor, and we have seats 26-28, and one of these could be yours!
The ticket was $138, I'll sell it for $130. I have the tickets in my Passbook on my phone so I would have to meet you at the MTS Centre beforehand to get you in.
Hopefully someone will snag it up. Would be a shame to have the ticket go to waste. Hope you hear from you
Nothing to really do with The Hip, but a great tribute from another band I follow:

Although we did not list a new Featured Show last week, our thoughts were on the legacy left by our dear friend, Eric Vandercar.
An overly exceptional and early taper, Eric was always one to ensure people heard about moe. Many of the usual suspects and the best of the best moe. tapers over the years were turned on to the band by Eric himself. Back in the days of trading DAT’s, it would often take months after seeing a show before you would get a copy in the mail. Eric always made sure he responded to every single inquiry for a copy of a moe. show, from anyone who he might have known or had chatted with through the “L”.
Eric was also pivotal in archiving the simplest of facts and data and different nuances about the band, and sharing this cardinal knowledge with everyone, all the way back to the “Codename: Weaselshark” days. He was known for being a “taper extraordinaire” through many scenes of multiple jam bands, but most especially moe. After consulting with several other prominent tapers in the moe. scene, I’ve decided to feature this particular show: a matrix with the SBD audio of 10/31/96. Along with longtime friend and one of the aforementioned tapers, Scott Bernstein, I believe this “pull” is one that every moe.ron should know by the banter if nothing else.
Eric was a taper’s taper, not only with the science and acoustical aspects, but between his selected gear of choice and his levels pulling the sound. Through his overly meticulous attention to detail in the transferring and editing, he was always able to capture the beauty and art of the music as well. You can also find his legacy and all recordings he has on the LMA.
Through music and just by being an all around, amazing person, Eric connected with many of us. Our thoughts, prayers, condolences, and vibes are with his family and our extended famoe.ly during this time.

OK, so I covered both these shows and got great recordings. For Vancouver, I also recorded video of the entire show with the aid of a monopod which I'll get out on YT. For Kelowna, I got my stand up to 11' and was rewarded with a SUPerb recording. The Vancouver show has already been mastered and the Kelowna one's up next. I'll be releasing them forthwith. Enjoy and comments always welcome.
Here's a pic of my mics at the Kelowna show.
Not sure if you guys are aware of this band, but they are from Kingston.
They have made a video in an homage to Smalltown Bringdown, they are big hip fans.
We talk about the appeal of Gord and the Hip at one point late in the interview for a couple minutes.
I also show off my hip vinyl at the beginning.
Enjoy! Thought you guys might like it.

I have 2 friends that have just discovered The Hip, and have also just watched the Bobcaygeon movie and now they MUST go see them live, I told them I would look on here to see if anybody has 2 extra tickets for the show, preferably not in the nose bleeds. So as it gets closer to the show and if your plans change, don't forget me. I can get rid of 2 for ya. I will just sit here and wait.
