Hey Niagara/WNY Hipbasers:

Anyone heading to see Elliott Brood at Sportsmen's Tavern in Buffalo Thursday night? They're opening up for Lydia Loveless who is an alt-country songstress who kicks nearly as much ass as the Brood does. My second bailed, but I'm on vacation this week, so I said screw it and bought a solo anyway. If there are any Hipbasers going, would be great to grab a beer at the show. Tickets are $17 advance, $20 at the door and for some reason it's an early show. Doors are at 7... which just seems weird.

So since the idea of the FC tour was a mixed bag, I'm wondering now that it's over, what do we think?

Did you like it or not?

Would we want to see this again with a different album?

Could it have been done a different way?

What do we think about the ticket prices and venues (especially in Canada?)

What did we think of the set lists?

For me, the two shows I saw the band sounded great, which was important, but I didn't love the concept as a whole. I hated knowing what was coming next, and while the set lists had a good variety to start, they quickly fell into a pretty steady rotation. I hope the ticket costs aren't a sign of things to come, and I look forward to a traditional tour!

Has this one EVER been performed live? It's one of my favorites. Gord's voice, the lyrics, the simplicity. I haven't ever seen it pop up on a setlist.

Good, but not great! I should have paid more money and gotten closer. I think it would have been more fun. Anyone else get to the show?
