Hey guys. I grew up in clifton park. Talk about an honor. I went to high school 3 min away from that place. Northern Lights is a really really small venue. Sort of strange; its in a strip mall with an RV/boat dealer. It's a dump compared to the landmark in the cuse. Were talking less than a thousand here. The stage is painted black plywood and the place smells like stale beer. Usually general admission. I can't wait! This is the best news I've had in years. I'm going to call them and see what it's all about!

i don't watch reality shows usually, but this one i got hooked on, as i like to laugh..well...season 3 debuted last night, and it wasn't all that funny...it seemed like there was this bad aura surrounding it, and then ralphie may (the runner-up from season 1) came on to do his routine, and was balling...he states that his dad had died the night before, but the show must go on...it was really strange,sad, and uncomfortable...just wondering if anybody else watches the show, and if so...what you thought of last night..i applaud ralphie for going on, but it seemed to be a little odd on a comedy show..i'm surprised they let him go..would you really wanna be the comic to follow that?(please don't think i'm insensitive..i had tears in my eyes!!)

I don't think this has been done before. We talk a lot about our favorite bands, albums, and songs, but what about soundtracks? What are your favorites, whether you like the movie or not?

Mine are:

Reservoir Dogs - one of my top 5 favorite movies
- Stealers Wheel "Stuck in the Middle With You" - great tune! Who can not think about the famous ear scene when this song is playing.
The album full of classics mixed in with dialogue is genius!
My only complaint is that it is too short.

The Crow
- Great heavier soundtrack, favorite: Pantera "The Badge"

Less Than Zero
- Slayers' much shortened remake of "In a Gadda Da Vida" is pure thrash metal genius. (scream in your highest Tom Araya voice :twisted: "IN A GADDA DA VIDA BABY!!") :twisted: Awesome! I get chills. :thumb:
- I must also admit that I love The Bangles remake of "Hazy Shade of Winter". Should I be embarrased? cratch:

I only ordered them 4 days ago, so imagine my surprise when I opened my mailbox today to find that my tickets had arrived. Damn that was fast! Anyone else driving down to catch any of the western shows??

Will there be a new video from IBE? I mean, really, if there is no airplay on our "nations music station (god damn, I hate muchmusic)", is there really any reason for the Hip to make a new video? Its about publicity and I can't see any reason why the Hip would spend tens of thousands of dollars making a video when it won't even be aired... if they do though, I wouldn't mind seeing Gus: The Polar Bear from Central Park (with, of course, a cameo by Gus himself)... I feel they did everything 'right' with this album (except, of course, the webmaster dude at thehip.com), and I would hate to see this album turn into a one video monstrosity like Music@Work...

Das Hips

I've been messing around with iTunes tonight, and I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to import my RealPlayer Library into my iTunes Library. Is there anyone here that can point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance! :thumb:

I was watching the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) and a documentary on the bout between Canadian boxer George Chuvalo and Ali. The intro included a black and white clip show played to "so hard done by." I thought it was pretty cool! anyone else see it??

they are playing in toronto at the phoenix on sept 30th tickets arent on sale yet on sale tuesday aug 31 10 am
