I've been to a number of Hip shows, but never at the ACC. I'm going on Nov. 26. I know all tickets say no recording devices, but some places are more lax than others. Does anyone rememver if the ACC disallows cameras from past shows? Thanks.

I was talking with "opiated" privately and we were discussing how much we both like "Problem Bears" A little known and totally underrated tune that was inexplicably left off of IVL. Too bad, cause I think it would have been one of the better cuts on that album. (By the way, has anyone been to Lake Memphramagog....what's it like and where is it?) Anyways, I asked him if he'd ever seen the Hip do it live, he said no. Does anyone know if they've ever performed this tune at a show? I think it would be a treat to hear.
By the way I'm looking forward to this Monday in Kelowna. This will be my 11th show, all of which have been in BC dating back to the first Roadside Attraction show that was in T-bird stadium at UBC.

I've seen a few other people do this, so I thought I'd post this here b/c I need to vent and need some advice.

So I teach history here in Kansas City. The girl that runs our admissions department is totally wonderful. She's smart, sassy, beautiful, comes from a tremendous family, (is from Detroit like me!!), and I'm fully-completely in love with this girl. She calls me all the time, we hang out, I've heard through mutual friends that she likes me. So it would seem a fairly simple solution. BUT.......

Here's the deal:
1). She's dating this dude. Son of the most prosperous construction mogul in Kansas City.

2). I do work with her, and would not want to jeopordize my job in any way.

3). I tried to talk to her in the spring, and it was totally strange. She just sorta brushed the whole thing off; but we continued to hang, and things were fine.

4). Her boyfriend hates me / and everyone thinks she really digs me.

So okay hipbasers, what the hell is going on here? Is this chick just loco? Should I attempt to talk to her again? Should I cut bait, buy a ticket for the Hammer on New Years Eve and drown out my sorrows?

Now this thread isn't to debate the moral issues surrounding downloads..and I don't want to hear anything like that.

What I want to throw out is some of the comical typos you've seen for songs on Morpheus or Kazaa or whatever...for instance today I did a double take when I was downloading some Bruce Springsteen and saw one of my personal 80's favourites "Jessie's Girl" had been added to his incredible catalog. I somehow think our good buddy Mr. Rick Springfield wouldn't enjoy having his 1 hit credited to "The Boss"

Springfield/Springsteen close but yet....hell not even close!!!

Others I've seen:
"Isn't it amazing" = Fireworks
"Happy Hour" = Little Bones
"September 17" = Fiddler's Green
