Anyone else out there use the Google Desktop Search? I've been using it for a few weeks now and I've gotta say, it kicks total ass.
Not only does it search for files or folders with the keywords you specify, but it searches the actual documents as well - and it is all done instantaneously, whereas a search using XP seems to take hours.
As an example, I just did a search for "Tragically Hip". It took .04 seconds, it says I have 831 files (with links to each one), and it says I have 697 links in my web history.
Anyway, if you've got thousands of files on your computer and you find yourself doing a lot of searches, I highly recommend giving it a try. :thumb:

Since I get a lot of PM's and emails asking questions about the tracker, and how to do certain things, I figured I might as well start a thread, and post all the questions/answers.

Here's a question I got asked today:
Q: Should I be seeding or super-seeding?
A: Only the original seeder, the person who posted the .torrent file in the first place, should use super-seed mode. Everyone else should just use the standard "seed" mode.
These are both available to hip club members it seems exclusively. I logged in to my THC acount and checked out the merch. I noticed the pin was available so made the purchase. One week later it was here and at a discount price. The heksenketel video was still available as of today. Nice christmas gift eh! an out of print brand new hip vid!
Hello all, i know it's early to be asking for audio, just hoping it was taped.. i videotaped and it turned out pritty damn good.. i was dead centre section 15 6 rows up no obstructions at all, i was at the same level as the hip cameraman, just a bit further back but i was more centred then he was lol . Well, now that the Canadian leg of the tour is over, I figured that I'd post the set list stats that I've compiled. This time I've done it a little bit differently. I copied some of my tables as pictures, and posted them on a little web page. I've never done this before, so hopefully it works out alright.
This is only for the Canadian leg of the tour. As with the last time, I copied the setlists directly from thehip.com, so there is probably a couple of errors. At some point in time I hope to verify what I've got with first-hand accounts, and correct any mistakes. Eventually I hope to start pulling old setlists into a database, making it possible to query stats for a given tour, or between particular dates, etc.
I didn't include everything that I've got, but this is probably the most interesting stuff. If you click on the last table (album stats), you'll find a more detailed breakdown.

Im surprised hes never really been mentioned here....his latest album is freaking incredible! Checking this out is a MUST. (For those of you who dont know, he's the guitarist for the Chili Peppers).
He's releasing 6 albums in 6 months, and the latest release, on Nov. 23, was the 5th of the series. Really, these releases are fucking amazing...He really is a brilliant musician, and man has he got style...
