I have flac frontend running but when I go to use the program it says that flac.exe not found. Can anyone help me with this?

Alright, I've been meaning to make this posting for a while... but just haven't gotten around to it. For the last few months, I have been absolutely obsessed with the NY band Interpol. I often go through phases where I really get into a band's music (really diggin the Killers right now too), but I have just been floored with the work of Interpol.

If you haven't heard them yet, give 'em a listen. They've got an indie/post-punk kinda sound to 'em, but the combination of the simple guitars and Paul Banks' deep voice and somewhat spoken lyrics just does somethin for me. I first gave Interpol a chance last year when my cousin recommended the song "Obstacle 2". After not feeling the song too much on the first couple listens, I gave it a few more chances until it completely grew on me. Their debut album Turn on the Bright Lights is by far one of my favourites 'n I'd strongly recommend checkin out the songs "PDA", "Hands Away" and "Stella was a Diver and She Was Always Down". Their new album Antics has started to have some success, so if you haven't heard their single "Slow Hands", give that a listen too.

Anyway, sorry for makin such a long posting... just have a lot to say about an incredible band without an incredible fan base or fan website to frequent. If you're a fan of Interpol or give any of their songs a go, lemme know what you think.

Hey gang,

I figured before I pull all my hair out I would ask ya for some help. I have a sony dcr-hc40 video camera. I am trying to make my first dvd, and I am finding it a pretty steep learning curve. The software that came with my camera only allows me to make a vcd. I downloaded the windv program but I get an error message stating that it can't find the outpin or something to that effect. Any ideas as to how I can go about this would be appreciated. I would prefer to use free software but will buy if I have to.

Sound frigging awesome!!!

I got a little worried (and was flogged in this forum pretty heavily) for critisizing the poor vocal performance by Gord on the first Montreal Vol. 1 download...

I was scared the rest of the Canadian tour was going to be more of the same..

But Nope!..
I downloaded Vol. 2 & 3 and LOVE THEM...

I think the Ottawa show is the better of the two but..
Highlights of the London CD IMO:
Great "Fully"
Amazing "Locked" & Hundreth!
I"m still a little disapointed in Gord's new approach to BobCageon and LTR.. just sing the songs the regular way my man! quit screwing around;

Highlights of the Ottawa CD IMO:
Awesome "Grace", ABAC, Courage..
Quite possibly the best live version of "Vapour trails" I have ver heard!
oh Christ, that whole show is great... BUY it! Download it!

This post is more tragic than hip, I know, but it's better than the argument going on in the 50 MC thread.

I've read a few posts where somebody says, "I wish Gord would sing these lyrics in this spot," so I was wondering if anybody has any personal alternative lyrics they'd like to hear. Extra points if it sounds like something GD would sing.

The reason this springs to mind is I was reading a story about the recent oil spill, while Phantom Power was playing in the background, and I started to sing:

Outside there's hectic action
The oil is covering the sea
And some of it's interconnecting
With my fu**ing SUV.

Sounds Gordish, no?

Hey everybody i took over James McKenty and The Spades website and wanted to spread the good word on these guys. They opened up for the hip in kingston and sarnia and recorded their CD at the bathouse with Gord Sinclair as producer.. the demo songs below arent on the album - but some songs off the CD can be heard at Thespades.ca

As I mentioned in the Sydney DVD cover topic, the shows are not available yet. Chris is working hard on them and will get them out when he can.

I did up the Sydney cover first then started on the Halifax one. Here's the link to it:

The DVD's for Sydney and Halifax aren't available yet but when they are here is a cover that I made up for the Sydney show. Made up of picture(s) I took at the show with Jamie and Rory.

The DVD is going to be amazing with Chris doing it up for us. You'll feel like you are there in front row with us.
