I live downtown, don't really need a car, so I walk about 30/35 minutes to school or work everyday. So far, I've been able to play it off tough and go without a hat or toque, but wowzers: it's now officially cold.

We've also got about 15 cm's of snow on the ground.

Hi guys, I am sorry did not know where to ask this but I thought this is a big enough place somebody might know...

I am trying to install a game on my computer and it seems to install OK, all 1.7 gigs of it, but it won't fire up. When I click the application icon i get an error saying: "D3DERR_INVALIDCALL / Code: 2156, facility: 2166, severity: 1".

How do I know if this is a software problem or soemthing wrong with my computer? And does anybody know how to fix it?? Very much hoping somebody can help or maybe somebody knows a great tech forum I can ask in...thanks!!

So watching the reaction by the players to the NHL's latest offer is perhaps the best unintentional comedy of 2004. My hat goes off to Trevor Linden, who said (with a straight face no less) "I'm not going to announce my retirement tomorrow, but days like today make you think about it."

Ladies and gentlemen, my Poor Trevor Linden analysis for your reading pleasure (and be sure to read "Poor Trevor Linden" in your best baby voice).

Since the 1995/96 season when Linden unofficially retired from being a true impact player, he's made $24.4 million. That doesn't include any bonuses along the way. That's right - $24.4 million. USD of course. In that time he has:

- played 550 games ($44,364 per game)
- averaged 15 goals per season
- averaged 24 assists per season
- averaged 39 points per season
- had a total of 306 points ($79,739 per point)

Oh, I shouldn't forget "the intangibles". Well, Trevor's a minus THIRTY EIGHT in that time, and despite the fact that the Canucks have been a winning team for the past three seasons, Trevor was minus 5 three years ago, minus one two years ago, and minus six last year.

Oh, and in the playoffs this year, Trevor had ZERO points and was MINUS THREE.

Well today, i thought everything was going well, Finance exam and all, First of all, the exam was brutal. I need to get 34% on the final to pass the class which was pretty tough to do on this exam. Then later on during the night i was talking to someone about the exam and I realized what happened.

I forgot to put the version number of the exam on my scantron sheet. How do u mess up something so important as that. I am almost for sure going to fail the exam.

Anyone heard this album or seen these guys live yet? My sister bought the CD for me yesterday as an early Christmas present (my family isn't able to get together this year). Anyway, it's a very cool record with a slightly more aggressive sound than the Watchmen. Danny Greaves has never sounded better, and I'm glad he's back at it after the demise of his old band. Thumbs up!

thanks to all for the sharing programs..i've opted for limewire and it seems to be doing the trick..now i need a program to burn..i was using nero on my old computer, but i never had the actual disc..any suggestions for a free program that's gonna make me happy?

I'd take Bobby, he's tall, but he's a softie and I think I could take him.

Does anyone know these? I was listening to a show the other day and it became a topic of discussion. Sounds very different. Does anyone know what they are?
