Anyone remember that crappy group called B4-4? They had those toolish guys that looked like chipmunks

I just picked up their latest album "The Dirty South", and holy crap is it ever good. There's a good chance I might not have been turned on to these guys if they hadn't been mentioned here at the hipbase a few times. I'd like to send out a big thank you to all the DBT fans for enlightening me.

So which of their albums should I pick up next?

Man, I remember the good old days when the show "Egos & Icons" used to feature bands or artists that actually made real contributions to music and had some kind of lasting impact. Not surprisingly, it looks like the corporate dipshits at Muchmusic have thrown the original concept of the show right out the window. Tonight's episode: Simple Plan. I'm not kidding. Simple freakin' Plan. I guess in order to become an icon these days all you have to do is release 2 albums full of bland, generic, watered-down mall-punk with lyrics that sound like they were written by a 12-year old, and presto! Instant icon status! Lord help us.

Let's see, the Nets lost, Carter got hurt, and despite the fact that the "injury" was a "severe cramp" due to dehydration, he was on the floor writhing in pain for several minutes. The beginning of Vince Carter Nets era sounds remarkably like the conclusion of the Vince Carter Raptors era!

Ok, I've always had this idea for a video for lake fever...

basically its just the hip playing live, but is like at a camp at night with all the campers sitting around the fire and the hip...and gord downie is fighting with a flash light much like he would with a microphone...

anyways...

any one else have ideas for videos...thats a loaded questions, so bring em on!

I was just listening to Urban Hymns and it's making me really depressed that they're gone. I keep hoping Richard and Simon will just beat each other up and get all the anger out once and for all so they can regroup and pick up where UH left off. Their best album by far, such a terrible shame we didn't get to see where they went next. If they had broken up after A Nothern Soul I would have said the same thing, but they managed to hold it together long enough to make Hymns...I guess we should be lucky they didn't break up permanently after Soul.

Richard's first album was OK, a little sappy but had some really excellent mellow ballad type songs. I haven't heard anything he did since then. Is anyone else a fan? Is Richard's other solo stuff any good?
