I read in today's Niagara Falls Review that Johnny Fay was involved in a celebrity poker tournament at the Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls, Ontario this past weekend!
Other celebs who participated in the tournament to commemorate the opening of a new poker room were Buffalo Bills' Lawyer Milloy, Buffalo Sabres' Adam Mair and JP Dumont, Buffalo boxer "Baby" Joe Mesi, Toronto Argos QB Damon Allen, Toronto Raptors' Donyell Marshall, and TV personalities Rod Black and Kathryn Humphreys.

As music fans, I'm sure that many of us have bootlegs that are non-Hip that we would be glad to share. With that in mind, coupled with the fact that there aren't any new Hip shows to torrent (because they aren't touring), how about we open the tracker up to some other artists? This will be a short term plan, but it will continue to spread the music, and get everyone up-to-speed (pun intended) on how to use Bit Torrent.

Please let me know your thoughts on this...

I've got some old vhs boots that might be worth putting into circulation. I lack the technology to convert them to dvd. If anybody is interested please let me know. I would like to contribute something to this community for the generocity I recieved about B&P's. They range from good quality to crap. One of the best (probably already in circulation) is the London show in '98. This was a camp trillium show aired on Much Music. Another pretty good one is opening for Page&Plant in'95 at Philly and MSG.I have both markham shows from '93( I noticed one of the dates is already out there).Anyway, I have about 12 or so if anybody is up for it let me know.

Well just gettin home from Startford! As i was able to catch Blue Rodeo on the 14th of January, at The Festival Theatre, Stratford, ON.
What an amazing venue for sound! The gutiars and accoustics in this place is truly amazing. We were 4th row!
This has been the best venue i have ever been to!
My gf took about 150 pics!

I realy injoyed the show, as BR did 1 set (14 songs), then an intermission, then BR came back on stage for a second set, then 1 encore!
It was awsome! And what i realy loved, was the lighting effects! WOW!


The 2 highlights for me are:

BR played all the songs from thier new album comming out in April! (they sound awsome b the way). Well the band was ready to play, and the guys were like okay start, NO you start! Everybody in the theatre started laughing! (and best thing was, he wasn't even near a MIC, and you could hear them) Talk about amazing sound.......


Also, during the encore, Greg (one of the singers) comes tot he front of the stage (away from his MIC), and starts singing, and gets the crowd singing a song, while he plays his gutiar! Well roughly in the 2nd verse, a fan yells out "You All Suck"! Well when Greg is done his verse (when he gets his hand free from the gutiar) He raises his hand and gives a thumbs up! The crowd went nuts!

I love when bands interact with the crowd!

Well i also recorded it, and if anybody is interested in a copy/download! Post up!

Say you've only got time to play 3 songs on your way to wherever, and your CD player is busted and can't skip songs...which 3 consecutive songs would be your pick to listen to in that given time? Don't convolude this by saying "well am I going to a rock concert or to a funeral" just pick your favorite trifecta...it's not as easy as you may think!!!

Could someone please help me with DVD burning. I have tried 2 different DVD burners and 3 different burning software. No matter what I try they will not play on my home DVD player. They do play on the PC. My home DVD player is suppose to play all types of DVDs. Also my PC has the correct specs for the DVD burner I am using. Do I need to convert the downloaded files before I can burn them to a DVD? What software should I use to burn them? When I try to use Nero it tells me that the files do not fit on one DVD. Any help you can give is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Well, Judy Sgro seems to be going for the food-sex-power trifecta as a former Immigration Minister. This thing keeps on getting weirder and weirder.

Immigration Minister Quits in Pizza Scandal

OTTAWA (Reuters) - Canadian Immigration Minister Judy Sgro, already embroiled in a scandal over favors given to a Romanian stripper, resigned on Friday after a pizza shop owner said she had reneged on a promise to help him avoid deportation in exchange for free pizza.

The affair is yet another political embarrassment for Liberal Prime Minister Paul Martin, who lost his parliamentary majority in a June 2004 election amid anger over a government sponsorship scandal.

"It's obviously with great regret that I accepted Judy Sgro's resignation but I understand why she wanted to do it. She wants to have a completely free hand to defend herself against these allegations," Martin told reporters.

Sgro left after pizza shop owner Harjit Singh filed an affidavit in Federal Court accusing her of offering to help him stay in Canada in return for pizza deliveries and assistance with her election campaign.

Sgro issued a statement condemning what she called "outrageous fabrications," which she said she would fight "vigorously with every measure at my disposal."

Singh, who is facing imminent deportation after he was accused of using someone else's passport, said in his affidavit that he had approached Sgro to ask for help.

"She assured me that if I helped out in her election campaign she would get me immigration in Canada," he said.

"Judy said she wanted me to deliver pizza, garlic bread etc. to her campaign office ... I did this. She also said that she needed 15-16 people to help work in her campaign. I organized this for her as well," he said in the affidavit, a copy of which was obtained by Reuters.

Once news of the arrangement leaked out, Sgro reneged on the deal, he added. Singh, who emigrated from India in 1988, was arrested in late December.

"I believe now that to save her job Judy Sgro is using her power to remove me from Canada," he said in the affidavit, which was filed on Jan. 5.

Sgro is the first minister to quit since Martin came to power in December 2003. Her duties will be carried out by Human Resources Minister Joe Volpe.

The job of immigration minister is a sensitive one in Canada, which is one of the few Western nations still actively seeking immigrants. The Liberals have traditionally drawn widespread support from immigrant communities.

Sgro is already under investigation by Parliament's ethics commissioner for giving a temporary residency permit to a Romanian stripper who had worked on her election campaign. She also extended the woman's expired work permit.

Stephen Harper, leader of the Conservatives, said Sgro should have been fired months ago and said there were big problems at the immigration ministry.

"I think we have to get to the bottom of what was going on here. There are a lot of serious allegations. This was not just a case of one or two people being given favors," he said.

Sgro triggered headlines almost from the day she was appointed in December 2003, first by opposing the tradition of churches sheltering asylum seekers and then by saying that Canada's refugee system was being abused.

Does anyone know the deal with Gord's armband? Is he a rastafarian all of a sudden? I saw it in Vancouver, and at the Grey Cup, and then last week on Canada for Asia? Does anyone know anything about it?

Lil' Johnny goes to his dad and asks, "What is politics?" Dad
says, "Well son, let me try to explain it this way. I'm the
breadwinner of the family, so let's call me Capitalism. Mommy is
the administrator of the money, so we'll call her the
Government. We're here to take care of your needs, so we'll call
you The People. The nanny, well, consider her The Working Class.
Your baby brother, we'll call him The Future. Now go think about

So the little boy goes off to bed thinking about what Dad has
said. Later that night, he hears his baby brother crying and
runs to his room only to find that his diapers are very soiled.
So the little boy goes to his parents' room. Mom is sound
asleep. Not wanting to wake her, he goes to the nanny's room.
Finding the door locked, he looks through the peephole and sees
his father in bed with the nanny. He gives up and goes back to
bed.

The next morning, the little boy says to his father, "Dad, I
think I understand what politics is now."

"Good son, tell me in your own words then what politics are."

The little boy replies, "Well, while Capitalism is screwing the
Working Class, the Government is sound asleep, the People are
being ignored and the Future is in deep shit."
