Dave Matthews Band are currently putting the final touches on their new CD and are personally loving the work they’ve done with hip-hop producer Mark Betson.

Betson, best known for his work with Seal, Beyonce, Eminem and 50 Cent, spent a lot of time in the DMB studio working with the band on a one-on-one basis to craft the songs for the record.

RollingStone.com reports Matthews and company decided to go all out and entirely redo their studio from top to bottom for their sixth album. To get the creative juices flowing, individual members worked solo with Betson so each of them could come up with their own songs. That means there's a chance the record might not sound the same as everything else DMB have released.

The new CD, due out in May, is still untitled, but we're sure they'll have some sort of creative title for it —their studio is always stocked with a pitcher of magic mushroom tea, or as it's known to stoner rockers, "Creativity in a pitcher."

DMB have recorded 25 songs for this album and the tracks include funk songs and sweet violin ballads. Matthews says the record is about "love, life, God, death and sex." That pretty much covers it all.

DMB are currently planning a March tour in Australia. No North American tours have been announced, but with a new record and summer (the season) still set to happen, that's likely to change

This may annoy some faint hearted wussies but what the hell. It's one of the funniest 20 minutes I've ever spent. The Whiskey in the jar video had me on the floor.

Hey folks I have one 2004 Tragically Hip tour poster left for sale. It's the blue poster with GUS THE POLAR BEAR ON IT. Im asking the same price I payed for it $20 Canadian, plus the shipping cost which is usually $8.50 to most places in Canada. first email i receive gets the poster!!!

Just went on iTunes to download the new killers song that I cant get out of my head and I decided to check out the hip's info page. i think a few people in this forum might take offense to the review that appears on their artist page....

Ok, so I'm trying to plan a vacation for this summer and I think I'd like to just spend a relaxing week in a cabin on a lake with my girlfriend & dog.
I remember when I was little my parents took the family to Midland, Ontario which was really nice, I think.
