ok..i always knew it was great, but didn't had sort of forgotten about it..today i'm listening to "gold rock" on my bell expressview, and they only play "you never give me your money"...as it starts to fade into 'sun king", they start to play phil collins!!!! UGGGHHH.. I immediately threw abbey road into the player, cranked it, opened a beer and raised a glass to a pure masterpiece of music..sorry..had to vent..but geez..is there a better a way for a band to say "goodbye"?

Apparently "Magically Hip" is at The Dufferin Galleria tomorrow (May 7). I was driving up Dufferin Street last night, and saw a billboard advertising "Magically Hip at the Galleria - May 7"

For those not in the know... Dufferin Galleria is a mall (some call it shady, some call it sketchy) just west of the downtown core in Toronto.

Does anyone have any idea what "Magically Hip" is all about? Or has anyone ever heard of it/them?

yeah I know Im getting to be a real pain in the ass when it comes to Thornley posts, but like I said before, I dont care!! For the unfortunate souls out there who have yet to see this band live, they are touring again mostly in Ontario! Rock and Roll lives...

Apologies if this question has ever been asked, but I'm about as forum search capable as a monkey on valium so bear with me.

Couples buddies of mine were on a road trip to NY the other week and on the way home, they pondered the art on the Fully Completely CD.

For starters, is there a story behind the numbers littering the bottom corner, there only appears to be 7-2-9 (possibly 6) and 0... thoughts?

Part the second: On the back, where the songs are listed, over the bar code are a series of white lines, which when looked at from different sides, could be letters, I'm not sure.

Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks in advanced.

I can't believe I'm the first to post this...E-mail from the hipclub says there's a show at the Salmon Festival...that's a bit too far for me to travle to though, but should be a great day!

Anybody looking for some great rock n roll can check out James McKenty and the Spades at the Horseshoe tonight. (friday May 6th)

The band is doing one set at 10:30...the other bands are Driveway and the Cheap Suits.

Ok, according to the Mighty Q104 here in Halifax, a Moncton radio station (I'm guessing C103) is reporting this morning that the Rolling Stones ARE playing there in September. Opening for them? AC/DC and Das Hips!!!

Road trip!!!!

Picked up "A Sides Win", Sloan's Greatest Hits CD/DVD compilation today and I have to say, I was blown away by the contents...

Besides the 14 classic tunes and 2 new tracks on the CD, the DVD contains: i) videos for the 14 "Greatest Hits" tracks...ii) a "Documentary" section where the band talks about the genesis of each video...iii) a "TV/Live" section with either a TV pull (MM, CBC or the like) or boot video of ALL 14 tracks...and iv) an "Extras" section, with alternative versions of some videos as well as the video for one of the new tracks "All Used Up"...

This is a MUST HAVE for any Sloan fan...

I can only hope the Hip's "Greatest Hits" compilation CD (DVD?) comes close to this, content-wise...

Just thought I'd let everyone out there in Leafnation know that it's been a full year since the boys in blue and white hit the ice. How appropriate that I heard 50MC on the radio today......
