Does anyone know if the Hip and Dougie Gilmour are friends? I know they are from Kingston, but that's it. Thanks!

I was using btefnet.com on a regular basis only to find today that it appears it has been shutdown. I was wondering if there are any other good sites for downloading tv episodes out there. I loved having never to worry about setting the VCR!!

There seems to be a problem with PMs? Any idea when they'll be back up?

This just in.....from a very reliable source in Ottawa on Saturday night, and then confirmed by another reliable source in Kingston when I was there on business today....it is pretty much a done deal that The Hip will open up for the Stones in Ottawa as well as down East. From this you can only assume that it will be the same case for the other 2 Canadian stops.

I was so pumped to hear this news. It's the only way that I will go to this show..and I might even pay for the pricier tickets now to get nice and close to the stage.

Do you think that there is any chance we will be able to buy advanced tickets via our THC memberships? or will advance tickets only be issued through Stones fan sites and regular issue through Ticketbastard???

Hey everybody. I was just down in Vegas for a friend's wedding on the weekend and I happened to walk by a record store. Of course I had to check and see if the Hip were well represented, and to my surprise they actually had 5 of their albums and multiple copies of IBE. I was amazed!

Hey y'all - just wanted to say if they make it up your way, do yourself a favor and go..
Absolutely amazing show. I caught three of them (2 Atlanta, 1 Asheville NC), and was blown away.

They sound as if they never left the stage 8 years ago.
They played for just over 2 hours, and Kate Hudson was shaking her money maker the whole time, each show..

You asked for it, (well, three of you did anyway) and now you've got it. Somebody call the doctor, call the vet, cause the Hip Directory is what you get. Alphabetically ordered for your enjoyment. One hundred and God knows how many Hip references singled out and listed. Hopefully an improvement on the outdated FAQ list. Every person, place and thing ever referenced by the boys.

so, now that we've got that out of the way, i have to give praise to the pinstripes.

first off, TINO MARTINEZ! oh man, is he ever lightin it up with 12 HR's (2 of them in today's game, his 21st career multi-hr game). he's hit eight homers and driven in 19 runs in his last eight games and has 10 homers in 11 starts, AND...today he moved up to 12th all time on the Yankees HR list, not too shabby at all for a guy who was supposed to be the back-up at 1st.

"THE BIG UNIT" made history, too, lasting six innings and giving up three earned runs for his 250th career win, even though he didn't strike out a batter. according to the Elias Sports Bureau, it was the longest start of Johnson's career without a strikeout, but nonetheless, he picked up his 4th W of the '05 campaign to improve his record to 4-2.

Tony Womack tied a franchise record for the second game in a row with 4 stolen bases. he's not doin to bad in the outfield either.

Giambi finally lifted himself out of his slump and scored the game winning RBI with a double, way to shake it off (he handled the beer dumping situation very well too).

Mariano Rivera pitched a shutout ninth for his sixth save of the season today, the 342nd of his career, and moved past Hall of Famer Rollie Fingers for seventh on the all-time list.

Cano is doing an excellent job on defense at 2B, and at bat, and IMO he's become a very valuable asset to the team as he allows for much more flexibility with the lineup.

Well I had my first hole-in-one yesterday. I even called it before I swang. It landed about 5 feet behind the pin and spun back right into the cup. I was lucky that It was a cold crappy day and I didn't have to buy too many drinks. Anyone else here ever had one?
