for me the funniest xmas movie..and probably the best vacation movie as well..i'm playing some quotes on-air today, although some of the funniest lines aren't air-friendly..but this is my favorite "all ears" quote..

I'm attending a party tonight where we'll air our grievances, gather around the Festivus Pole, and later in the evening, once we're good and buzzed, perform the feats of strength! I'm not kidding. It's our 3rd annual. Good times. :thumb:

Like other bands do. At Christmastime other bands release little goodies (unreleased tracks or demos) on their fan boards. Would love it if The Hip got into this habit. Mmmmmm, "Dante"...

here's the deal..i work until 2pm on saturday, xmas eve...i have to back at work boxing day at 8am..my folks are in the lower mainland, which is about four hours away tops...do i head out on the highway right after work on saturday, and surprise them? or do i do what was originally planned, and just stay in town with a friend...(ex girlfriend to be exact!!)..i'm really confused about this..last christmas i spent in a hospital as my dad had a stroke...as great as it was to see my family again, it was not the best scenery...thoughts???

My buddy left me a message on my answering machine last night (11:45pm) with what sounded like Gord D singing Summerside of Life with the Skydiggers from the Horseshoe at their annual Christmas shows.

Hey BNL just came by Winnipeg yesterday.

Anybody else see this tour? It was pretty "fun", shall I say. I had never heard their Christmas tunes before, but they belted them out like BNL songs, it was kinda cool.

Just that the crowd was SO content and...quiet. Like a whole bunch of middle-aged people sitting around sipping ceasars. A far cry from being right up front. This was the first show I've been to that I did NOT go up front...I'll never do that again. Sitting down sucks!

Anyways...here in Winnipeg they pulled out Box Set!! One of my fav BNL tunes. Definitely wasn't expecting any b-sides..and sure enough they pulled out the best one
