I noticed the other day that quite frequently the only time the f word is used in Hip (and Gord solo) songs it is in quotations, not him actually saying it. Examples:

Fireworks: "You said you didn't give a f about hockey"

The Heart of the Melt: "I could dance with the puck... you said..."

Nashville: Opening lyrics.

Vancouver Divorce: "[She] said it's art just f'in miror it"

I know there's more examples of this, I just can't do it off the top of my head. Anyone have more examples, or examples of where he just straight up uses the f word without quotations? I just thought it was a little curious about why this is.

I was wondering what is everyones Fav Hip Tour or Show

You can name the show, what was so great about or even just a tour year

Mine was 96 at the gardens

We all got tickets to sit in the Henhouse (hip used to raise money for Trillium by selling seats in a contest fashion right before the show, these seats are basically on the stage. (I was resting my Beer on the stage!)

I just remember Gord tap dancing during the pause in little Bones he was tap dancing on our heads it was phsycho

Curious to hear everyone elses great experiences

It definitely does seem that Gord is playing a lot less guitar this tour... from the 3 shows I saw here is a list of songs that he previously has played guitar on but did not this time around:

So my mom calls me up last week, and says she has a bunch of boxes that she has stored in her house since I moved out (guessing 1993 or so). She stopped by yesterday with a car-load of my old stuff and when I started going through a few of the boxes, I was finding old items of mine I haven't even thought about in years.

Here's a picture of a Tragically Hip hat I bought on Canada Day at Molson Park, 1992. I have the T-Shirt for the event somewhere, and I found my Spinal Tap shirt (in not-so-good condition), but I had forgotten about this hat. (I also discovered I have one of the "Gargoyle" ball caps, which I thought I had lost years ago.....lol)
