Those of us in London, and very (and I mean very) close by cities. Today is most likely a SNOW DAY!!!
Yesterday and overnight last night we got about 60cm of snow, and it's still coming down at about 2cm an hour, and is supposed to be coming down all day.
I got the day off work, as did most people I have talked to. Fanshwe College and UWO are both closed, The City Buses arent even running, I dont think I have ever seen them not running.
There was an OPP guy on the news this morning who said that they responded to 223 accidents over night!!!
I think the craziest thing about this is that the streamer of snow that went over us, wasn't very big. I've heard of cities as close as 45 minutes away that didn't get any snow at all. Hamilton, Toronto, Niagara, all about 2 hors away, no snow!!
That is the question......
Okay, well I almost broke down and purchased an iPod last night.............
But, I have been hesitant picking up any type of player, particularly iPod because of the over commercialism that seems to come with it. Plus, there are so many players on the market now and new ones coming out every day, there are just too many options.....................
So, does anyone have any advice? I assume there are a lot of people on here who own iPods or other players. What are some recommendations??
Apparently the hip were on the Mercer Report tonight... I didn't see it though

This is a great site with over 300 streaming concerts from the 60's on up.
They have everything, from Bob Dylan and Neil Young performing together to Led Zeppelin to Huey Lewis and The News to The Band.

Given some Ben Johnson/Do you Cheetah?? conversation in some other threads I thought It would be interesting to see just how effective their onslaught of commercials have proven to be.
I'd like to see their total amount spent on television advertising over the last 2 years...I'm willing to bet that it is RIDICULOUS. They have pretty much dominated NHL and Hockey Night in Canada advertising over this period (which are the most expensive tv ads in the Country) not to mention the constant barrage during primetime on A-Channel/Chum broadcasts as well.
So how often do you buy the stuff??
Are there any hipbasers here that belong to the new myspace-esque website facebook.com ? If so I suggest that we start a Hipbase group on this new site as there are plenty of Hip groups there and didnt know which to join. Anyone interested?
