So, this year, we're having our pool filled in and I'm thinking about building a backyard rink.

I helped a guy build about 4 rinks last year, so I have a general idea on how this thing works. But I'm wondering if anyone here has built one, and if so, do you have any tips?

Last week bi-polar took my dear friend's life away.

Well, no one would buy my tix for Chicago, so I had to pay for a flight and a room for 2 nights. All the way from Vancouver. If there is anyone else coming from canada, let me know. You will see me at the show wrapped in my Nova Scotia flag, and hopefully my girlfriend with her Ontario flag. Does anyone know what kind of bass Gord uses? I've tried to find pics that might show it, and he never stays still long enough for me to focus, even when I'm front row.

I was wondering if the Mahones would be doing their traditional New Year's show at the Horseshoe, but I guess its the Sadies' time this year. Since I haven't finalized my plans for New Year's yet, maybe I'll throw this option into the ring...

So I just downloaded Mark's crazy torrent, and I now have all the shows in their entirety. I was thinking instead of burning every show to 1 or 2 discs each that I might just make up one CD of all the best. There's no sense in having 12 different versions of the WC stuff on CD, to me anyways.

Obviously I would have to have the main rarities on there...Fiddler's Green, 38 yrs. Old, Tiger the Lion and a few others.

What songs from what shows would guys say are the best.

Best versions of the World Container songs?
Best "rant" or "adlibs"?

Whats worthy of making the top 18 or so from the club tour?

Ok people, here's my problem. I manage a retail store and dislike traditional christmas music as much as I dislike country.

I know from listening to the radio over the years certain bands have redone these songs or made their own Christmas songs and they sound great.

What I'm looking for is either a site that streams rock themed Christmas music or a list of songs and bands of the ones they've done.

The only two that come to mind right know are
AC/DC - Mistress for Christmas
TTH - On the Verge (White Christmas)

I know there's something by the Beatles or Paul Mcartney just can't remember it,

Just wondering if anyone could possibly upload or tell me where to find any Radio Edits by either Gord Downie or The Tragically Hip.
