Folks,

I recently had my appendix removed after I found myself throwing up and writhing in agony after a trip skiing. It was ruptured and gross and all that good stuff. It happened two Wednesdays ago (the 21st).

Anyway, my question is for any of you who have also had your appendicies removed: how long 'till you found yourself hungry and full of energy again?

I was in the hospital for a week because my particular appendix was in such bad shape, but the pain wasn't bad. However I'm still without much energy or any discernable hunger.

The White Stripes hagve announced that they have finished recording and mixing their new album entitled "Icky Thump"

Here are 50 first lines to songs. These were chosen at random by my Windows Media Player. Lets see how many everyone can get... ...without cheating. Some of them are extremely easy...
They're broken into sets of ten so that it's a bit easier on the eyes. Once somebody guesses one, I'll post their name's beside the lyric.

  Quattro Pro Question

Hi Everyone,

I know this is a long shot, but Im hoping someone might know something about Quattro Pro.

Im a longtime excel user, however my new employer is using Quattro Pro.

I do a direct Download from our system into Quattro Pro. Field A1 is name, A2 is User ID. I copy and paste to swich User ID to the first field. Some user IDs start with a number, but MOST start with A00. (Sheet A)

I have to make lists, and so I type in the ID in sheet B. I then type in my lookup formula, and the only fields that will generate are the ones WITHOUT the "A00" in the front. I've tried changing everything in the properties selection. However, nothing works.

Also, if I make my own table, typing in everyones user ID and name, then use that table as my lookup, it seems to work,,, but with over 1500 rows,,, I want to work off the Download.

Why doesnt the formula recognize the IDs starting with A00?

Any Idea? Anything will help.

I'm on CFNY FM (102.1) The Edge's listener survey list. Basically they send me a list of songs once a month and I have to vote on whether I'm sick of hearing them on the radio or not.

Today I got to vote on my top 5 Canadian New Rock songs of all time. I picked:
1) Long Time Running - The Hip
2) 38 Years Old - The Hip
3) Pigeon Camera - The Hip
4) Another Midnight - The Hip
5) Fully Completely - The Hip

The Top 102 Canadian New Rock Songs of All Time airs on Saturday, March 10 at Noon and repeats on Sunday March 11 at 10:00am on the Edge.

It'll be interesting to see the final list. If its on their website I'll make sure I post it.

I know there's a few Wilco fans here.

I can't wait for this album to come out in May, the stuff I've heard so far is fantastic. You Are My Face is blowing my mind. 8)

I haven't been very well for a couple of months, turns out I have Ulcerative Colitis, I was just officially diagnosed the other day. I wont go into details but it really sucks and Ive never felt so bad in my life. Now I have to take a strong steroid drug with bad side effects. Not having a great time at the moment, I cant wait to get better.

Anyway I didnt post this to get sympathy or cry about it, actually I just wondered if anyone else on the Base has Crohn's Disease or some type of IBD? And is anyone here ever had to deal with a chronic disease of some kind, how did you cope?

Any encouraging thoughts out there?
