I think I'm going to slightly regret sharing this information, but I just got off the phone with the Erie County Civic Center and they are selling tickets to the show over the phone, and best of all, their handling charge is only 2 bucks per ticket without the Ticketbastard charges! Visa/MC and Discover accepted only, I believe.

Just discovered this fantastic band – can’t believe they’re pretty much unheard of in the UK.

Was wondering if anyone knew of any plans to return to Europe? I missed them last year

Kind of an interesting concept...the music there is free....until people start downloading it. The more popular the track, the more it ends up costing (to a max of 98 cents). The point is that it's free for you to download tracks from new undiscovered bands.

Best of all - DRM free. I downloaded Bridges by Jets Overhead and the files are in MP3 format encoded at 192 kps.

Last year at this time i was preparing for my wedding and wrote some topics on how The Hip was the common thread that brought my wife and i together. After the wedding i posted how Hip tunes dominated the reception. All was Hip. Now the news comes down that a little "Gibbytime39" is expected in about 7 months. So the first boy name i throw out there is "Gord." i cited how it seemed a natural progression and was only fitting. well, this was thrown out the window without even a maybe or we'll see. to top it all off when i brought up the topic of seeing The Hip in Chicago i was greeted with a cold stare. is the honeymoon over or am i way off base with the suggestion of Gordon for a name??
i think Gord Gibson would be a cool name. cratch: cratch:

Anyone know what time the Hip will go on stage Is anyone opening for them?

I think Funeral was overall the better album, not that Neon Bible wasn't good it just wasn't great. I'll admit I was also a little irked with 'No Cars Go' on it, why would they put a song from their Self Titled EP released in 2003 on a brand new album?

Just a heads up in case you all don't know and are planning to head to Rochester without tickets, you can win them from 90.5 WBER. Sorry if this has been asked before, but why is Butts Wigglin' called Butts Wigglin'? The only thing I can think of is it's got something to do with the tempo of the song being good for "booty shakin'", perhaps?
