anyone going to any of these shows? i just found out i'm screwed on tix to the burlington show, so now i'm contemplating going home to philly to see the hip... and oh yeah, visit the family! :lol:

I thought it would be neat to see everyone's early predicitions of potential champs. Just list 3-4 songs you think are capable of going all the way. Here are my three.....

I saw the Hip last night at the Fillmore in San Francisco. This was the first time that I had seen them perform and they were outstanding. I got to bed around 1:30 am and woke up @ 6am to "that night in Toronto" . Canada was well represented last night, Last night I wished I was one of you.

Does anyone know how I can get the set list?? I knew about half of the songs. I loved the 3rd or fourth song but I did not know the name of it. I had a great time and look forward to seeing them again.

Looks like it has pretty much disappeared from the setlists from this tour. Anyone seen them play it this time around? I saw them play it in Vancouver last year just after the Canadian release but looks like it is long gone. One of my fave Hip tracks. Please enlighten me!!!

Well over the past couple months i've been really liking blind melon. heard no rain and change over the years on the radio and all, but didn't know it was by blind melon and really paid no attention to them. Just two months ago i heard tones of home for the first time and thought it was a very good song. So i downloaded a few of thier songs.

I really like holy man, mouth full of cavities i love the acoustics on that one. I've also heard walk, dump truck, i wonder, deserted,drive,galaxy, soul one, the pusher.

I also heard three is a magic number, but seems kinda wierd lol. I know i am about 15 years to late but i am really enjoying their mellow harmony style. I am thinking about getting their discography.

Anyone have any opinions on blind melon and which album to start with?

Also anyone know what the band member are doing these days? it's a shame shannon died... he had very good lyrics.

I was just wondering (purely out of curiosity) about other people's Hip bootleg collections.

So, what was the first gig that you traded (either by B&P or Torrent - or both if you've been at it a while), what's your favourite bootleg you have and (where applicable) what was the first show you taped for yourself?

Favourite bootleg: Shepherds Bush Empire, London (07th July 06: DVD and Audio - purely for the memories) or The Pheonix Theatre, Toronto (26th October 2006)
I am yet to tape any Hip shows, but hopefully that will change.

It seems that there is such a massive amount of shows out there - I'd like to hear some opinions. :thumb:

Hi all...just wondering if anyone has been to the HOB in Chicago. I've been to the city a few times and was wondering what the venue is like. I just saw the Vegas show and was thinking of taking in the Chicago show on May 12th which happens to be my 33rd birthday. I figured seeing the Hip is a good way to celebrate. I'd be travelling down from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Anyway...any info you guys/gals can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

Me and a buddy have been lucky enough to score some passes for the Detroit "meet and greet/soundcheck. My question is to any of you who have done this... Can I bring a camera and/or video...etc? I'd of course like to document this in whatever media format I can get in...
