Is there a canadian city that it is cheap to fly to St. John's from. I can't find anything under 600 from DC, NYC, Boston or Philly. Anyone have an insider's hint?

Bowie has been known to pair albums up live. Playing both albums fully in order.

Ignoring the Blue debut (sorry) that gives us 10 albums. So which albums do you think would compliment each other best live? Can you come up with 5 lists using each album once?

I like the idea of Pairing Henhouse with WC, playing Henhouse first as mostly acostic then rocking out to WC.

I think FC would go well with M@W. FC being jammed packed with hits with compliment the more experimental musing of M@W.

DFN and IVL - These albums would be quite a dark brooding setup.

I'd pair UTH and RA together for a night of good old fashioned bluesy rock and roll.

That leaves PP and IBE - I can't really think of any connection other than i'd seriously play to see it!

The April 12th edition of the Nielsen's BDS Top Canadian Singles Air Play Chart has the song , YER NOT THE OCEAN , moving up 11 places. :mrgreen: :thumb:

This is YNTO , second week in the top 100 for all of Canadian radio. :thumb:

So we have covered 62 of the "Hip 64."

What do you think will be the final two songs included in the tournament?

Or in other words, what songs that haven't been included were you hoping to see?

A few for me:
- Escape is at Hand
- Boots or Hearts

Maybe also:
- Chagrin Falls
- Anything from IVL: All Tore Up, A Beautiful Thing
- Summer's Killing Us

But I think it's really a testament to these 62 songs that I can only think of a handful that I think deserve to be in it.

Well, well.

Last night, some kind young men stole my van, and as we say in the local vernacular, "drove it way the fuck out in the country."

Apparently they needed a ride home, and could find no way to return my vehicle after they had borrowed it. So they aimed it in the general direction of London, and placed a heavy object on the gas pedal. Unfortunately, their well-meaning attempt to return what they had borrowed was interrupted by the presence of a deep ravine, which interposed itself between my van and its destination, with grave results.

So the police inform me.

Goddamn ravines. Something must be done! Where the hell is Stephen Harper?

So now begins the joyous task of dealing with insurance companies, who ask more questions than the cops do, and trying to buy a new vehicle before my loss-of-use insurance expires, while spending a week in Edmonton.

On the upside, I don't have to renew my plate this week.
