So did The Hip ever secure a record deal in Europe for WC? I kind of thought this was going to timed with this tour, but still nothing. You can't even buy it on ITUNES over here?

I'm really surprised, as it's such a great record. I'm sure it would get excellent reviews here.

Mav, do you know of any plans?

PS. What about opening acts on the Euro tour? Not long to go and no sign of anyone?

hey folks,

Those of you who are into photography & such I have a question. This weekend I was at the Detroit Grand Prix and took along my dad's old minolta 35mm SLR camera to catch the action.

Some of the photos have this big white vertical bar in them that I can't seem to explain. I almost looks like an area of the film was totally overexposed... but I can't seem to understand why just some of the photos are like this. I don't have the photos with me right now, but I've just mocked up a digital photo below to illustrate what some of the photos looked like. I don't know if it's something I did or if it was the film...

Does anyone have any ideas...? let me know if there is any other info I can provide that might help explain this.

hey was wondering if anyone has thought about putting together a comp. of all the live hip covers from the last tour....something on the Hip BT tracker.....would love to hear the covers....i just watched The Weight on thehip.com....great version

Never thought......for the life of me that I would make such a statement...

BUT

I hope Russia comes back and takes the next 3 Games.

Reason being, I am having a party for game 8, and that would make that game just that much better.

Totally dominating them is wonderful, but when its a clean sweep its too easy and makes for a boring game.

Now if it were the Americans....I would love to watch them crumble for all 8 games.

Saw it last night, and man..was I impressed..I was a little worried about it, being a huge fan of the first Halloween, and some of the sequals...(Busta Rhymes of course not being one of them)
It really doesn't try to be the original, but it sure does salute it. Quite a few real scares..I jumped a few times, and Malcolm Mcdowell is a great Dr. Loomis.

Hey,

I found myself bored the other day when it was raining and decided to start to compile a list of Hip concerts, shows, or small set lists, but only those ones that were benefit shows or from special events etc. such as like Woodstock, 2002 Olympics, SNL, Tsunami Relief, Live 8, Grey Cup.....and it goes on and on and on.....

Here's what I have so far. I'm sure I'm missing some. I've started this list from 1995 to present. I don't know if it's been done already, but it would be cool to have these compiled together on DVD's.

Anyone know of any special shows I'm missing???

P.S. Getting jacked for Texas in October and looking forward to a potenial New Year's show too! And for all of you lucky kids going to see the boys in Europe, have a great time!!!

A blank page appears when I click on the "personal concert stats" button on the home page. A blank page also appears when I click on the link in my signature showing the concerts I have attended. The same thing happens when I click on the concert links in other Hipbase members signatures. Is this feature no longer operational or is there a program bug?
