Has anyone seen "Eastern Promises"? GREAT FLICK! It's the best Canadian film since "The Sweet Hereafter" and the best mob movie since "Good Fellas". David Cronenberg has created a masterfully paced crime movie that avoids all the cliches.

"Resident Evil" and "Good Luck Chuck" beat it at the box office but this past weekend proving that people like video game franchises and Jessica Alba's ass. The smart money is on Cronenberg.

For the record I also saw "Resident Evil". That dead horse has been beat so hard his zombified corpse has hurled itself over a cliff just to avoid this movie. Save your money and skip this one.

"Brown will join Lake Ontario Waterkeeper president Mark Mattson on stage at Toronto's Dakota Tavern on Thursday in support of the album. The night will also feature performances from Citizen's Band, Tony Scherr, drummer Anton Fier and other artists who contributed to At The Barricades.

The next night, the artists will perform at the General Wolfe Hotel on Wolfe Island near Kingston, Ont., where there will also be a live taping of Waterkeeper's weekly radio show and podcast, Living At The Barricades."

It doesnt say exactly whose playing at the second show, so I dont know if Gord's making an appearance or not, something for someone to check into..

As I get older these shows get harder to make for many reasons. I just saw the Hip here in Philly and it was a good show. But they didn’t have their lights with them and used the house lights. It was very raw and glad I saw them like that. But w/o the lighting rig Im not sure I would catch this show. I have a young child and I coach a high school hockey team on top of a full time job and full time husband.
So my question is……are they bringing their lighting rig on these newer US dates?…in particular the Philly date?

I know that skippy hates lists, and one of the rules I've tried to follow throughout my life is: "avoid anything where Sass Jordan has a vote", but this looks kinda interesting, mainly for the cover reproductions and descriptions for each of the albums that make it onto the list, as well as documentary photographs, in-depth interviews, fascinating facts, and musician-contributed sidebars.

i posted a request a few weeks ago too see if anyone knew where or if there were any video or pictures from their walk of fame induction.my freind says their are but i have been unable too locate any of them.
