I just happened to be reading the sypnosis for the movie 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' when I noticed the adjectives 'tragically hip' associated with her 'rocker' boyfriend included...this can't be a coincidence...

I won't be seeing this movie, I was just going through upcoming movies, but I thought it was an interesting and perhaps coincidental(?) use of words...

Struggling musician Peter Bretter (Jason Segel, How I Met Your Mother) has spent six years idolizing his girlfriend, television star Sarah Marshall (Kristen Bell, Veronica Mars). He's the guy left holding her purse in paparazzi photos and accidentally omitted from acceptance award speeches. But his world is rocked when she dumps him and Peter finds himself alone. After an unsuccessful bout of womanizing and an on-the-job nervous breakdown, he sees that not having Sarah may just ruin his life.

To clear his head, Peter takes an impulsive trip to Hawaii, where he is confronted by his worst nightmare: his ex and her tragically hip new British-rocker boyfriend, Aldous (Russell Brand), are sharing his hotel. But as he torments himself with the reality of Sarah's new life, he finds relief in a flirtation with Rachel (Mila Kunis), a beautiful resort employee whose laid-back approach tempts him to rejoin the world. He also finds relief in several hundred embarrassing, fruity cocktails.

Just picked this up at lunch today. Great record! I wasn't sure if they could top the awesomeness of "Tournament of Hearts", but this album might be the best thing they've done so far. 2008 is turning out to be an amazing year for new music!

Im going to go with explode, its seems like an odd mix. There's some good talent in the group, Burrows is a heavy hitter I like his drumming and Turner is a good guitarist. But Im not a big fan of Edwin, moreso his solo work, it was crap actually. Ive always said Bryan Byrne was way better than Edwin in IME, but thats just my opinion. Not knocking the Edwin IME albums they were awesome but as a singer and frontman there's no comparison, and TQSMD was their best album by far at the least it should be interesting to hear what they come up with. Still wishing IME and TTP would get back together and on that note Jeff Martin said his new album scheduled for this summer is going to be "rocking"...Im looking forward to that.

Did anybody else see this sketch on SNL the other night. The humour was too dark not to post anything about it on here and share with my fellow twisted humourists. My girlfriend and I sat on the couch mouths open in horror half laughing, half cringing.
