i registered here some time ago but havent got to post anything before now. anways, been a Hip fan since april this year, i dont know why i didnt get into them earlier, they've become one of my favorite bands. i had heard about them but never really cared to get into them, was i ever wrong. but when i heard Bobcaygeon, it all clicked. since then ive bought Fully Completely, Phantom Power and That night in Toronto, i need to get some more stuff. ive yet to hear a Hip song i dont like.

so anyways, yo! :mrgreen:

Lance and I just got our driveway paved with exposed aggerate.

Have any of you seen anything like this before? What do you think it's from? We paid the guy 1/2 upfront and now he wants the rest... what can we do?

I know I'm well in the minority for this one but one always has to support the friends.
I saw the pre-edited version of "Cannibal Corpse - Centuries of Torment: the first 20 years" 3 DVD set this weekend (the documentary disc anyway, ran out of time for the concert/bonus discs). It comes out July 8. I have to say even if your are not a fan of the music or metal scene at all, the doc disc runs well and is very entertaining from a viewing stand point. Of course maybe I have a bias cuz 1: they are my friends and 2: i'm in it. But besides that if you have any friends that may like the band or Docs on metal bands it's well worth the money.
At least in my case it's like a scrapbook of time which you had wished you took more pix or videos then come to find out someone else did and it's cool to go back and look at the stuff w/the other guys that were there. (and then bag on each other for how we/they looked :thumb: ).
Anyway that's my 2 cents.
And no this is not a commercial (well it's not my intention). It was just really cool to look back in time and the dvd will be worth it for those interested.

Just wanted to let everyone know that The Village Pump in Rossmore will be hosting a Pre-Hip party Saturday June 21st prior to the Big Music Fest. Parking is free, and the location is perfect for avoiding the headaches that are sure to come on the other side of the bridge prior to the show. Our pub is approximately 1km away from the event location at Zwick's Park. We are located on the other side of the bay bridge as you enter Prince Edward County. Our sign currently reads Gord Downie gets free beer (for life) for playing highway girl. I'm thinking it is a safe bet that I won't owe him any beer. Come early as we expect a fairly large crowd. I just saw the Weakerthans and Christine Fellows live here in Paris, I would be surprised if they won. My personal picks go to either Hayden, Kathleen Edwards, The New Pornographers, Caribou or Justin Rutledge (in that order).

Hello everyone!

So, I joined up basically because I need help... On another forum we're doing a CD exchange, and we're only allowed one song per band. I'm having a lot of trouble deciding what Hip song to include... :? I'm also having trouble deciding if I want it to be a favourite song of mine that might not be as commercial or if I want it to be a bigger hit... Anyhoo, I have it narrowed down to:
