Does anyone have any Rheostatics shows which they are capable of posting or burning? There used to be a rheos ftp site which I will post info on if it is still running.
Thanks

I have a spare standing ticket for this Wednesday in London, and one sitting one for Thursday. Face value (£20), please let me know if you want one or the other.

Anyone with a decent collection of Hip concerts ever thought about doing a Bittorrent download? This is a relatively new program that lets everyone downloading the concert share some of the burden of the d/l so that the server is not the only one using bandwidth. It splits the files up as you download, and then allows other downloaders to get file bits from various places. I think we could get some more music out there if we did this. I'd start it but I don't have any concerts yet. Anyone interested can check out http://smiler.myip.org/BT/BTFAQ.htm for more info on Bittorrent, there is also a link to a GUI for generating the download files at http://bitconjurer.org/BitTorrent/completedir.exe

Hey Folks
Hope that everyone enjoyed the recent tour.. anyway, I'm in the middle of transferring many videos onto DVD to spread around.. many of you might already know through the henhouse/hiptree mailing lists. Anyway I was wondering if anyone had MASTER copies of shows on 8mm video camera format or something similar? or older shows that might be 1st generation vhs..?? I really want to archive the shows as well as possible.. right now I'm converting the Syracuse 10-06-00 show.. it's looking good...

SWEET setlist.

Anyone else pick up the new Pearl Jam today? I really like it, although it is really different from their past work. Early favourites are "Save You", and "Thumbing My Way".

Can't wait for the tour next year! Smile

I like all of the albums the Hip have made. But obviously some more than others. I guess this is probably a difficult discussion in the sense that everyone has a different definition of what a 'masterpiece' is. For me it doesn't necessarily mean that every song is perfect, just that an album has a flow to it that just makes everything seem essential to the overall record.

The albums that reach 'masterpiece' status for me would be;

Fully Completely
Day For Night
Phantom Power
In Violet Light

Road Apples is damn close too, but I think falls just shy.

What about you :?:
