i don't know about anybody else, but i can't get enough of IBE..every listen, i don't just like it more..i LOVE it more..when it ends, i play it again..i can't recall a CD having this effect on me in a looooooong time

i just signed up today on the mailing list on the hip;, and have not heard from them.

Not to start any rumors or anything, but I always thought that Paul should sing lead on one of the songs, either on an album or on tour. My question to you all is what song would you feel it is appropriate for him to sing...My vote is for GUS. I think his mumbled nasal style would be perfect for this song!

So I was at a local pub the other night, and there was a guy with a guitar on stage, playing neil young and what not. He was taking requests and I asked him if he knew any hip. He asked me if I want normal Hip or obscure Hip. I, obviously, replied "The more obscure the better".

He started out with Thompson Girl. He must have seen that I loved it cause he moved on to Don't Wake Daddy. And finally Emperor Penguin.

NEedless to say I was very impressed.

I'm from London Ontario where they play lots of Hip on FM96. I recently got married and moved to Rochester NY and I'm having Hip withdrawls. Thank goodness for my cd/mp3 collection of the Hip. My husband is also a Hip fan so I didn't have to convert him.

We unfortunately missed the show at Darien Lake (damn relatives getting married!) We are hoping to make the show in Syracuse though in Sept.

I'm glad I stumbled across this forum though, I can at least feel like I know what's going on now hehe
