Now that it has been confirmed that at least one member of the band visits Hipbase, it seems that more and more posts are being written with the intent of influencing the bands song selection, or worded as to not offend the band.

I think that this will prove to be a detriment to our community. Lively, spirited, heartfelt debate is what makes this place fun, and interesting. As soon as members start censoring what they think about a show or song, interesting discussion dies.

I know everyone means well with their posts directed to the band, but I don't think we should do it anymore.

Back in the early 90's there was a midnight radio show, called "Saturday Night House Party" The song Poison, by Bel Biv Devoe is about the only song that I can think of, that I can remember the name of, that would play, it was about a 2 hour radio show, broadcasting from a party type atmosphere. I am sure it was about the same time that Vanilla Ice first hit the radio.

I was listening to a radio station from Watertown NY, perhaps it was called T93 FM?

Does anyone remember this ??

funny stuff

As you may recall, a long, long time ago, in a galaxy not so far away, myself and others had a thread called "ISO Peter Padjen". The gist of it was we hadn't gotten what we were supposed to from him. Then he dropped off the face of the earth for nearly a year.

Well, Peter's back, bigger & badder than ever!! I wrote him to say I didn't get what I wanted, and he offered to send the right ones. I said that was a year ago and I've gotten most everything on audio now. So get this - he offers me a bucket of DVDs!! I just got half a dozen in the mail and I'm overjoyed! Fantastic shows, fantastic videos.

I have never been happier with a deal. A YEAR after most of us had just accepted he was long gone, Peter make EVERYTHING right, even going further than I thought he would. I cannot speak highly enough of this dedication. I hope everybody else's problems have been sorted out too!

Well through a bunch of mishaps & miscommunication, I've ended up with 3 extra tickets to tonight's Franz Ferdinand concert at the Docks, here in Toronto. If anyone in the Toronto area is interested in going & needs tickets, pm me, and we'll make a plan. Tickets are $25.00 each (face value).

Ok, so some of us have user names that are easier to figure out than others. I think mine is pretty obvious. 73 is the year I was born.

How/Where did you get yours?

Ok, I did a search and I didn't find any threads that answered my questions.

I downloaded the flac plug in and installed it in the plug in folder in winamp, but it doesn't work!

Also, is someone taping Clifton Park? Jerremy? BTW, if someone is taping CP, you probably shouldn't stand next to me. I'm a screamer and I might talk. however, I find as I get older I can't scream like I once did and it takes way too much energy :lol:
