September 10th - read on this forum that a Lowest of the Low show is available for download at Disclive. Head right to the site, find the show, pay for it, and.....nothing. No link to download. Nothing. Well, I shouldn't say nothing. The charge came through on my credit card two days later, but I still couldn't and still can't download the show. Emailed customer support on the 11th and got a generic response on Sept 14th, and haven't heard a thing from them since. :x

October 9th - read on this forum that the July 1st Hip show is available for download at Livedownloads.com (thank GEORGE they didn't choose Disclive). Head right over to the site, find the show, pay for it, and download it immediately. Within an hour I've got the show, I've converted the files to WAV for burning to CD and to MP3 to put on my iPod. :jump

Gee, I wonder which company is going to become the leader in the concert download business.

I ask this because I have something I am considering giving GD. It's a leather bound blank book I purchased for someone 3 years ago but I parted ways with the person before I could give it to them. It's a gorgeous book and even if Like to write, I don't plan on using it because I have horrible handwriting and it's just TOO nice to use.

I paid a lot of money for it and I hate to see it collect dust. I want to give it to Gord because I know he writes pen to paper, or at least I've read that.

I have many people urging me to give it to him. I think it might be a little weird and stalkerish.

What do you all think?

I plan on enclosing a short letter about how I came across the book and how it represents the thankfulness of me and my fellow fans.

and if so where are they traditionally held?


also, what is the likely hood of more dates being announced for mid or late dec. or early next year?


I have been a fan for 12 years, still haven't had the oppertunity to see them live.. and if I miss this spokane show I will be bummed if I can't see them soon

Would it not make sense to have an official TTH MEMORABILIA discussion Section? Like an archive or list...

We could keep each other up to date on who has what and what's on ebay..... if someone has doubles of an article then maybe a trade could happen. No selling but people could PM each other.

My collection has grown over the years and there are exact items I am looking for. I am aware of others on HIPBASE who are also collectors of HIP articles, Vinyl, buttons, books, Art work etc...

I plan on having one of the more extensive TTH MEMORABILIA COLLECTIONS out there and look forward to sharing it on a website one day. Maybe even a hip-convention at some point!

Sup, ive been a hip fan all of 9 months now and ive already flown across the country to check em out (sarnia bayfest 17/6/04) and im headin over to vancouver on the 17th of november with teh floor seats. so yeah, checkitout

Ok, I know you guys have got to have had some dreams about the hip when you're sleeping. I've had a few about the hip, GD in particular :wink: but last night's really stood out and is worth posting.

He was a cop on one of my favorite shows, Law & Order Special Victims Unit. He was wearing a white dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up while fighting the bad guys.

I was watching it at a campground, we were all camping, felt like a hip event of some kind, it was raining, the TV was under a tarp and Gord was there with us.

It was just weird.

So what gets you up? In the locker room, out on the road, in the gym, in the ring, whatever it is you do... which Hip songs makes you a lean, mean, sweat spewing machine?

When I'm running, for some reason I hear (and sometimes sing) "Vapour Trails." I think it's because my brain is too fried during the run to think of anything else besides the literal "man hitting his stride" which seems to easily fit.

Before I run, or do anything that I think will be physically tough, (Like take out the garbage) I like the harder rock'n stuff like Blow, 700ft or Heart... or maybe a little DD Reprise to mix things up.
