Since all these greasy texan and californian bastards want to get their hands on our great lakes water, I want to start the Great Lakes Preservation Society. Anyone want to join? I'm starting a website and making t-shirts, which will say "Fuck California. Save the Lakes".

Activities will include:

General belligerance to those who attempt to steal / pollute our lakes
Beer drinking
Diving
Camping, etc.

I don,t post on here very often, usually look through posts every once in a while

just wanted to let you guys know we have a new Sam Roberts forum up, had an older one, kind of crappy(always had problems)for those of you who want to check it out, I know a few of you are SRB fans since they opened for The Hip a number of times(pretty much most of North America - 2 tours)

Is anyone going to the show at Barrymore's next week? I wasn't planning on it, being a Wednesday night an all, but I might go now. My friend won passes on the Bear to sit in on the interview with the band or some such thing, and offered them to me! So I might do that and go to the show after.........

It took a month but the Tragically Hip Calgary show is now finished. It is a two disc set and features the show filmed by myself as well as extra footage shot by bootlegger 420, pbotos by Mountahip and an ad, and two reviews of the show.
While a good show, it isn't quite as good as some of the others from the tour as it had to be filmed stealth, so there wasn't the freedom to shoot totally as I would have wanted. I didn't realize that the Hip's crew would be so good in helping people to get their gear in, otherwise, I would have tried that.
I will be doing a torrent of the show but initially I would like to do some trades. This is primarily due to my ISP last month sending me a nasty letter about downloading too much. 10 GB is a pathetic limit for downloading when you are talking about dvds. For a few years now, I have been downloading or uploading pretty much as much as I wanted and so it is wierd that they are suddenly being lame. At any rate, I am trying to watch myself for a little while so I figure I will do the torrent in the second week of July.

as a guy in the biz, i'm excited about satellite radio...it should make conventional radio change their ways, and if not...i'm jumpin to a satellite station...what it boils down to is the crtc has allowed the states to broadcast their stations in canada, while at the same time allowing chum to broadcast as well..

So, there's this ride I work quite often that has music. One of my co-workers made a CD and it's a bit not exactly what we need. I decided to give it a go myself. I thought. "Oooooo, Fireworks will be excellent" then I thought "Oops, Gord sings 'You said you never gave a fuck about hockey'" Same with "Inch an Hour".

so I've like narrowed it down to like 9 hip songs and I all ready have songs like

"Bad to the Bone" - George Thorogood
"Johnny B Goode" - Johnny Winter
"Boom Boom" - John Lee Hooker
"Hold on Loosely" - .38Special

Any suggestions? They need to be hard rocking songs for a ride that goes 45 miles an hour around in a circle that is KNOWN to be a musical ride.

You all know I work for a Six Flags Park in New York State. Well, I've been officially promoted. I'm now a Ride Trainer/Lead. Lead = Shift supervisor.

I've had this position for a week now and I love it! I'm finishing my leadership training tonight!

I am so honored and proud of myself. I never looked at myself in this
light but now I'm glad someone has taken my potential and is using it.
