Just heard on FM96 here in London that Rob Baker and Craig Northey will be at Barney's patio on Richmond St. For an live air interview and to talk with fans and sign autographs. Im going to work my ass off on Friday so I can get down there early, hopefully I'll get to meet Robby! Just thought I'd let you all know. :thumb: :thumb:

"March of the Penguins", narrated by Morgan Freeman, is getting limited release in the US starting this week. the movie focuses on the rituals of our friend the, Emperor Penguin. kind of eerie how closely this movie preview relates back to the lyrics... might be worth a watch - it is getting incredible reviews.

In single file, the penguins march blinded by blizzards, buffeted by gale force winds. In the delivery room, the nurse asks the Dr. "Is the cervix dilated"

Dr. checks and says, "Fully"

To which I added........."Completely"

My wife, a huge Hip fan like me, starts laughing hysterically.

Dr. and nurse look at each other in utter confusion.

It was classic and a nice tension breaker at that.

Who could, or would, replace him? If they would replace him.
Recent conversations about replacing members of other bands made me think - What if the tone, style all changed, even just a bit with the boys, due to the fact that there is a new band member..

Who could fill those boots...(and red leather pants..)

Anybody else here a fan of this band, or ever heard of them? This is one of those bands that you think your the only one who likes them and you feel special. I happened to see them open for I Mother Earth a couple years ago, they put on a really good set and I was impressed right away, I thought to myself these guys might do well, at least here in Canada. I guess nobody took notice and they seem to have faded away unfortunately. I emailed universal music Canada (their new label) and was told they were working on material but other than that I have no clue whats happening. I assume they broke up. But I have their one and only self-titled album, I really enjoy this album, I listen to it quite regularly. If anyone has never heard them and wants to download some songs, Id suggest the following:

Its your typical mainstream Canadian rock, but its catchy and very listenable, you might like it or hate it, whatever. I know that I'll catch a lot of flack for this, but being a long time BNL fan, I couldn't resist grabbing Steven Page's solo effort The Vanity Project. Wow. Lots of wow. All the lush vocals without the silliness. It really is a must have, in my opinion. I love the man's voice, and it is so well displayed on this recording. Great, great stuff. :thumb:
